8105 – Work Limitation
This condition restricts the number of hours a student can work while holding a student visa. Generally, students can work up to 40 hours per fortnight during their course and unlimited hours during scheduled course breaks. Breaching this condition can result in visa cancellation.

8202 – Meet Course Requirements
Students must maintain satisfactory attendance and course progress as required by their education provider. This includes attending classes regularly and meeting all academic requirements. Failure to comply with these conditions may lead to visa cancellation.

8208 – No Study Change Relating to a Critical Technology Without Approval
Students must not undertake critical technology-related studies without the approval of the Minister of Home Affairs. Critical technology includes areas defined in Migration (Critical Technology – Kinds of Technology) Specification (LIN24/010) 2024. Approval is required to ensure there is no unreasonable risk of unwanted technology transfer.

8501 – Maintain Health Insurance
Students must have and maintain adequate health insurance for the duration of their stay in Australia. This typically means having Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). Failure to maintain health insurance can result in visa cancellation.

8516 – Must Maintain Eligibility
Students must continue to satisfy the primary criteria for the visa grant. This includes maintaining enrolment in a registered course, having adequate financial support, and meeting health and character requirements. If any criteria are no longer met, the visa may be canceled.

8517 – Maintain Education for Dependants
If a student has school-aged dependants accompanying them to Australia, they must ensure that their dependants are enrolled in school and attend classes. Failure to meet this condition can result in visa cancellation.

8532 – Under 18 Approve Welfare
Students under 18 years of age must have acceptable arrangements for their accommodation, support, and general welfare for the duration of their stay in Australia. This includes staying with a parent or legal guardian, a relative, or in accommodation approved by the education provider.

8533 – Inform Provider of Address
Students must notify their education provider of their residential address in Australia within seven days of arriving in the country. They must also inform the provider within seven days if they change their address. This ensures that the provider can contact the student if necessary.
