For Students in the Gulf — Special Evaluation Arrangements

UAE · BAHRAIN · KUWAIT · OMAN · QATAR · SAUDI ARABIA

This is critical for our families across the GCC. Both CBSE and the Kerala Board have made special arrangements for students whose exams could not be held due to the regional situation in the Middle East.

CBSE — Class 12 Exams Cancelled in 7 GCC Countries

In a circular dated 15 March 2026, CBSE announced that all Class 12 exams from 16 March to 10 April 2026 would be cancelled for students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE — including earlier exams that had been postponed. CBSE Class 10 exams in these regions were also postponed earlier and subsequently cancelled. The board has stated it will announce the mode of declaration of Class 12 results in these countries in due course.

Kerala Board — 633 SSLC + 592 Plus Two Students Affected

Per the Kerala General Education Department:

  • 633 SSLC students in the Gulf will have their results computed based on marks obtained in model or term exams plus prescribed grace marks at the prescribed percentile.
  • 592 Plus Two (Class 12 second-year) students will have their first-year marks, Continuous Evaluation (CE) scores and second-year practical marks carried forward.
If your child is a CBSE or Kerala Board student in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait or Saudi Arabia — please stay in touch with your school for the latest official communication, and feel free to WhatsApp our Sharjah office if you need help understanding what these alternative marks mean for international university admissions. We've already helped dozens of GCC families navigate this exact situation.

Got Your Result? Here's Exactly What to Do Next

YOUR NEXT 90 DAYS MATTER MOST

This is the part most students and parents underestimate. The result is announced, everyone celebrates (or worries) for a fortnight — and suddenly the early application windows for top international universities are closed. Here's the realistic timeline for both pathways.

If You're Considering Studying Abroad — Start Now

Australia, UK, New Zealand, Ireland and Germany all have July–September intakes that close their early offer windows in May–June. If you've just finished Class 12, this is the best window to start your application — you'll have offers in hand before your peers even decide on a college in India.

CountryIntake After Class 12 ResultApplication Deadline
AustraliaJuly 2026 (Sem 2)Apply by mid-May 2026
UKSeptember 2026Apply by end of June 2026
New ZealandJuly 2026Apply by mid-May 2026
IrelandSeptember 2026Apply by end of May 2026
GermanyOctober 2026 (Winter Sem)Apply by 15 July 2026

What To Do — In Order

  1. Download & verify your marksheet immediately on result day — both the website copy and the DigiLocker copy. Cross-check name spelling, DOB and subject marks against your admit card.
  2. Get your passport ready if you don't already have one. International applications cannot move without it. The current Indian passport processing time is 4–6 weeks — start now.
  3. Take an English test — IELTS or PTE Academic. Our students typically use PTE vouchers at ₹16,999 (G2H discount) and clock the test within 3 weeks. Free mock tests available here.
  4. Shortlist 5–6 universities based on your scores, course interest and budget. Use our free course finder.
  5. Prepare your documents: passport, 10th & 12th marksheets, English test score, SOP (Statement of Purpose), academic references and bank balance certificate.
  6. Apply & collect offer letters. Most universities respond within 2–4 weeks at this time of year.
  7. Apply for scholarships — including G2H exclusive scholarships that stack on top of university awards.
  8. Lodge your student visa once you accept your offer and pay the deposit. Our team handles visa documentation, GTE statement, financial proof and OSHC end-to-end.
