What you get inside

Five things the group does that a Google search can't

Australian student visa rules move faster than most websites update. This group exists so you hear it from a counsellor who works with Australian universities daily — on the day it changes, not three months later.

Intake deadline alerts

Application cut-offs for February and July intakes, posted university by university, with the real internal deadlines — not just the public ones.

The living document checklist

A checklist that updates when Home Affairs changes something. Financial capacity figures, Genuine Student requirements, health cover rules.

Scholarship windows

Australian university scholarships open and close quietly. We post them with eligibility, value and the last date to apply.

Pre-departure and arrival help

Accommodation, airport pickup, bank accounts, SIM cards, first-week essentials — shared by students who landed one intake ahead of you.

Direct answers from a counsellor

Ask your question in the group and get an answer from a QEAC-certified counsellor, not a call-centre agent working on commission.

Parents are welcome

Most of our families join together. Parents in Kerala and the GCC ask the money and safety questions students forget to ask.

Document checklist

What Indian students need ready for an Australian student visa

Start collecting these the day you decide. Missing paperwork is the single most common reason a strong application gets delayed past an intake. The full, continuously updated version lives in the group files.

Common questions

Before you join

Is the Guide to Heights Australia WhatsApp group free to join?

Yes, the group is completely free and there is no obligation to use our paid services. It exists so students and parents preparing for Australian intakes have one reliable place for deadlines, document requirements and visa updates. You can leave at any time.

Who is allowed to join the group?

Any student planning to study in Australia from India or the GCC, along with their parents. Most members are applying for the February 2027 or July 2027 intakes, though students in earlier research stages are welcome too. Counsellors from other agencies are removed so the group stays useful.

Will my phone number be visible to everyone in the group?

Your number is visible to other members, which is standard for WhatsApp groups. Only admins can post announcements, and member-to-member marketing is not permitted. If you would rather stay private, message us directly on WhatsApp instead of joining the group.

Is Guide to Heights actually QEAC certified?

Yes. Guide to Heights is led by a QEAC Certified Counsellor, registration #10439, awarded by PIER in Australia, and is British Council recognised under #49805. Both numbers are verifiable with the issuing bodies, and we have offices in Kochi, the UAE and Melbourne.

How much money do I need to show for an Australian student visa?

The Australian Department of Home Affairs sets a minimum financial capacity figure covering tuition, living costs and travel, and revises it periodically. Because the figure changes, we post the current amount and acceptable proof formats in the group rather than quoting a number that may go out of date. Always confirm on the official Home Affairs website before making financial arrangements.

Do you charge for the document checklist or intake updates?

No. The checklist, intake calendar and visa updates shared in the group are free. Our paid services are separate and optional, and tuition, visa and insurance fees are always paid directly to the university, government or insurer — never collected by us.
