NO FURTHER STAY (8503) – Visa Condition | Student Visa

The implementation of the ‘No Further Stay’ (NFS) condition in Australia’s visa policy carries significant implications, particularly for Indian nationals. NFS prohibits visa holders from applying for any other visa within Australia without first leaving the country, affecting both students and workers. For instance, on a student visa, individuals cannot switch to another visa category while studying. However, after completing their course, they can transition to a stay-back or temporary graduate visa. Through the temporary graduate visa (subclass 485), individuals can explore other visa options like work visas, permanent residency (PR), or sponsored visas. This restriction applies to various temporary visas, including those subject to conditions 8503, 8534, and 8535.
